Investing in Turkey's Regions Print

Summit on Investing in Turkey's Regions is firmly scheduled for 3 and 4 March at the Conrad Hotel Istanbul.

Turkey's fast growing domestic market, qualified and cost-effective labour force, liberal investment climate and unique geographical location as a gateway between Europe, Caucasus, Central Asia and the Middle East have made the country the 15th most attractive FDI destination for 2008-2010. Yet, the great majority of foreign investments are concentrated in Istanbul and its vicinity, leaving the vast business opportunities in the rest of the country untouched.

To overcome this hurdle, Turkey has recently adopted an investment incentive scheme for regional development and introduced development agencies based on regional policies of the European Union.

This unique event will provide information on the rich business opportunities in Turkey's various regions, in the light of the recent developments related to the EU accession process.

Key topics include:

-
How and why to invest in Turkey's regions: incentives & opportunities
-
Road to success for small and medium sized enterprises
-
Regional infrastructure focus
-
Mapping Turkey's renewable energy potential
-
Regional investment opportunities
-
Showcasing regional investment projects
