Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign Nyomtatás

The European Union is presently leading the fight against global climate change. The Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign began in 2005 and its latest phase (2009-2011) will come to an end on 31st December 2011. Some important changes are being made to the Campaign in order to maximise its impact in the future. The next phase of the Campaign will concentrate on its main activity, namely the EU Sustainable Energy Week, including its Energy Days, and the annual Sustainable Energy Awards Competition. In the period since 2005, more than 1,200 sustainable energy projects joined the SEEC and benefited from wide media coverage and a broad public outreach.

Since 2007 the EU Sustainable Energy Week has been the highlight of the SEE Campaign. Every year, the Week has grown significantly in all parts of Europe, achieving an unprecedented success with 720 events in 2011. We are pleased to confirm that the EU Sustainable Energy Week 2012 will take place from 18 to 22 June 2012.Over the past six years, hundreds of Energy Days have been organised across the EU with support from the SEEC. They have helped both public and private organisations to spread the message about sustainable energy in some 50 countries in Europe and beyond. We invite you to organise further Energy Days during the EUSEW 2012 and to encourage others to do the same.
