Europe is switching to energy-saving light bulbs. But many consumers think that their performance does not match their old-fashioned counterparts. To improve citizens’ knowledge of the new 2nd generation low-energy light bulbs, the European Commission has made a 2-minute cartoon and launched a website, it shows the viewer that 2nd generation low-energy light bulbs are readily available, that their performance is better than the 1st generation's, and that they are far more economical than their incandescent counterparts.
